Front Entry Porch Post Replacement

This customer in Bothell hired High Rock Exteriors to repair deteriorated structural posts and trim on two rental units. Three of the posts required only the removal of the lower trim for inspection, confirming the structural posts were still in good condition with no additional rot.

One post, however, had extensive rot and required full replacement. We temporarily supported the roof structure by jacking and bracing it while the damaged post was removed. A new pressure-treated structural post was then installed and wrapped with new trim to closely match the existing appearance of the other posts.

The project restored the structural integrity of the building while maintaining a consistent look with the existing architecture. The homeowner will be completing the final painting to match the surrounding trim.
