Custom-Fabricated Porch Post

Another successful porch repair completed!

The existing porch roof was supported by a rotting viga-style post that needed to be replaced. We first braced the porch roof, safely removed the deteriorated post, and poured a new concrete footing around the existing footing to raise the post base farther above grade for improved durability and longevity.

To finish the repair, we installed a custom-fabricated 6x6 steel post to provide a strong, long-lasting support for the porch roof.
